“Together Building Resilience”, funded by United Nations Trust Fund (UNTF) 2021-2024

The Together Building Resilience project has been a transformative journey for women and communities across Kosovo. Implemented by Kosova-Women 4 Women (KW4W) and funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UNTF), the project ran from May 2021 to September 2024, reaching 690 women and girls, including 120 survivors of violence in six municipalities with high prevalence of violence: Drenas, Lipjan, Shterpce, Skenderaj, Podujeve, and Ferizaj.

Through a holistic approach that combined psychosocial support, economic empowerment, and community awareness, women were not only supported to heal and rebuild their lives but also trained as Agents of Change, becoming advocates for a safer and more equitable society. KW4W’s model of empowerment—linking emotional recovery with financial independence—proved instrumental in helping survivors regain confidence and stability.

The project’s impact extended beyond individual transformation. By engaging 22 civil society organizations, 30 community groups, and 60 government officials, it fostered stronger cooperation between institutions and grassroots networks. These partnerships strengthened local mechanisms for preventing and responding to violence against women and girls, ensuring that women’s voices and experiences inform community-level change.

KW4W is proud to share that the final evaluation of this project is now featured on the official UN Trust Fund (UNTF) webpage, recognizing the effectiveness and innovation of the organization’s approach to women’s empowerment and violence prevention. The full evaluation report can be accessed here:
